She wasn’t here. I had hurriedly checked the entire den and I couldn’t find her anywhere. Couldn’t see her from the window in the room I had adopted as my own. I paced back and forth by the window until everyone settled in and I could slip back out into the storm. “RASHA!” I called, repeatedly, as loud as I could. My blue eyes scanned the white landscape for any sign of her as frustration began to take over the worry that I had felt earlier.
